Customized design of Shoji panel curtains for a reinterpreted Japanese aesthetic
The decorator's idea was to recreate a special atmosphere based on Japanese style. Several areas of this 1970s apartment, such as the hallway and entrance, were decorated with Japanese tapestries and adapted lighting fixtures.
In the bedroom, the windows were decorated with Shoji curtains and matching wallpapers to complete the look. The bed was designed in black lacquered wood with a satin finish - the headboard was upholstered in a golden faux lizard-skin fabric. An alternative upholstered finish was also an option.
